This piece was ok when I found it, but certainly nothing exciting. With a pale, muted green top and off white bottom, it was just ordinary. But with a sanding and some paint it is now bold and colorful. Stand it up on a shelf or hutch as decoration, use on a table as a catch all or jewelry dish... whatever you decide to do with it, it's a perfect way to add a splash of color. You can use with food, but as with any painted surface, food should not come in direct contact with the paint. Use with a doily, napkin or other decorative liner. To clean, use only a soft, damp cloth... nothing abrasive.
